Does your child struggle in school?
Have you tried many schools and education settings that haven't worked for your child?
Does your child have an EHCP?
Does your child love working outside, being with animals and/or building things?
Is your child aged 11 - 17 years?
Then the Agricultural and Rural Centre could be the perfect establishment for your child.
The Agricultural and Rural Centre was established as a Community Interest Company in 2009 to enable children with disabilities and special educational needs the ability to work with our farming animals. Our research clearly demonstrated that our centre was particularly successful for those children who struggled with traditional educational settings and for this reason we established our trauma informed approach in 2022.
The centre has a range of therapeutic and educational professionals that support our young people to regulate their emotions and behave so they can reach their educational full potential.
In 2024, we became Ofsted registered so we could strive to offer young people an educational system that stretches their expectations and values to ensure they successfully reintegrate into mainstream community.
The Agricultural and Rural Centre CIC offers a nurturing and therapeutic approach to pastoral care that encourages pupils to develop social attitudes and behaviours founded upon the values of respect, personal growth and independent confidence.
We have 30 full-time places available in 2024 for year 7 to year 12 pupils.
If you would like your child to be considered for a place then see our
Apply Now page for application details.
"The ARC is the best place in the world and the staff are all like my family.
I want to work there when I am older."
We did it
I am so proud to announce that the Agricultural and Rural Centre is now Ofsted Registered and ready to admit full time learners in the academic year of 2024 - 2025.
As the new headteacher, I am excited to lead the centre to a new venture which will develop an innovative approach to learning.
